Diwali Time

October is the month to feel festive because of DIWALI (also known as Deepavali). All the chic ladies who like to coordinate their shoes to their mood will think Gold! Golden, copperish, sparklish are synonyms to moods during diwali. Its all about the oh so frequent get togethers, card parties and diwali gifts distribution.

So the hot pick of this season must and should be golden sandals. However tacky you feel they are, one can have sleek pairs too embrace the traditional feel. Go ahead and buy a jewellery studded statement piece or simply sparkled heels.

I thankfully got two for my wedding and will simply reuse since there is no other suitable occasion for such pataka colours (shaadi or festivals such as these).

Silver high heels..

Yes, my very first shoe description will be of my silver high heels. I wore these for my engagement and hence has a sentimental value to them. I love the way they are super high and helped me to reach a decent stature since my fiancé is like a giraffe/elephant (huge in a good way) and this was the very first time a lot of his folks will see me (analyze me). I think the heels really helped me and I hid them well under my blue lehenga (wink wink).

My Shoes! Lol, I know what you're thinking. You're thinking that I am yet another of those crazy girls with a room full of shoes who knows no better than to now go even crazier and start blogging about it too!! Well, yes; I’ll take that blame on me. :P There is no denying the fact that I LOVE SHOES. I love them because there is no limit to ones imagination when it comes to a perfect pair of shoe. One must never underestimate the power of a perfect fit.

Yes agreed, there are many more important topics that one can talk about and brood over; but seriously why do we always need to take life so seriously! We get just one life and we must make most of it, do whatever we feel like and give ourselves the chance to enjoy and be happy. J

For some absurd reason, we women can never have enough shoes! And it always brings a smile to our faces when we talk about them, I can safely say that it shopping for a pair can make me happier and more satisfied with myself. Studies show that an average woman owns 27 pairs of shoes at one time!! That means she buys at least 2 shoes a month! For me, its a ritual to buy a pair with my mom every fortnight! Though I am not at all religious, I'd love to follow this without fail.

What I aim to do by my blog is to keep you updated about what is in and more importantly if it’s the “right” shoe for you. I would try to estimate how much you should spend on such a pair and where to get it from. My aim is to make shopping easier for us all and yet get that awesome smile since we knew what we were looking for. You may ask me questions and I’ll try to answer them to the best of my ability.
